Dear NCSY TJJ Bus 3 NY family,
The Holy City of Tzfat lived up to our expectations. We began the day entering a cave on top of the mountains of Tzfat and tapped into the spiritual, mystical energies of this Holy City through music. We channeled the energy we call “soul power”. From there we took a walking tour of the old city of Tzfat, learning of the history both ancient and modern of the city. From the shul of the Arizal (Rav Yitzchak Luria) to seeing the bullet holes in building from 1947, we covered hundreds of years of history in just hours.
Following time to shop in the Artist’s Colony, we learned about Kabbalah and names from Abraham Leventhal and then headed to Otzar HaStam learning to write our Hebrew names in the script of the Torah.
We rounded off the day with more ice breaker activities where the bonding the teens have done and had the last few days really came to light. Looking forward to more team building on the Kineret during raft building!
Best,
Rabbi Dov Pianko
