Dear NCSY TJJ Bus 3 Family,
Hello from JERUSALEM!
After waking up so early Tuesday, not even spending the night in tents stopped the NCSY TJJ Bus 3 Family from getting a great night of Zz’s. We woke up to an early camel ride around the desert,(boy did some of those camels need a dentist). As we left Chan Hashayarot (many were upset that we left on the bus and not by Camel) we went West towards Sderot. On our way to Sderot we stopped a Shvil Hasalat, also called “The Salad Trail.” We learned all about Israel’s agriculture and the types of vegetables they grow (you would not believe how many different colored carrots they have!). We even had a chance to taste some of the veggies while touring the green houses!!
From there we made our way to Sderot where we learned about life close to the Gaza border. We also visited the famous Hesder Yeshiva, a school where students studied as well as trained in the army.
Best,
Rabbi Yitz
