Dear Parents,
We finally made it to Jerusalem and it was amazing!
We began at a picturesque lookout over the entire old city of Jerusalem to enable the group to get a sense of the city new and old. We then went to the City of David and walked through the ancient aqueduct of the city.
Walking through Zion gate and eating in the Jewish quarter was especially special to the teens but even more so was the walk down to the Western Wall. More than 15 teenagers experienced the Western Wall for the first time with us and it became very emotional to many onlookers including myself. After everyone had an opportunity to pray at the wall, we went for a BBQ in a park outside the Talbieh neighborhood in Jerusalem.
What a powerful and wonderful day for all of us!
