The Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey
A Hike, Salad and Animals On Way to Jerusalem

Dear Parents,

We had a really amazing sunrise hike up into the mountains surrounding Eilat.  From the top one could see Israel, Sinai, Jordan, and even Saudi Arabia. The sight made the early wake up worth it completely.

After we got back and had breakfast, we headed on a long ride towards the amazing farms along the south western side of Israel. We tasted tomatoes, strawberries, cucumbers and herbs that were delicious and grown in the desert!  Amazing how Gd provides for his people even in the desert!

From there we went to the museum of Rabbi Natan Slifkin, renowned zoologist and author, to learn hands on about the animals of the Bible and more. The teens had a lot of fun.

It was also an opportunity to say thank you for the teens for the Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey (TJJ) as Rabbi Slifkin is the son in law of Lee and the late Anne Samson.

From there we headed for another ride to our final destination of the day at our hotel in Jerusalem. We were welcomed by a number of other programs as well as Rabbi Glenn Black the Executive Director of Canada NCSY.  It was great for the teens and staff to see familiar faces.

All the best

R David Zahtz
